FBA  Marching Band Evaluation

The JPT Marching Band  received straight Superior Ratings at the Florida Bandmaster Association Evaluation Event.

Vero Beach Crown Jewel Marching Band Contest

The JPT Marching Band captured the Grand Champion “Sheila Knight Sammons Memorial Trophy”, Saturday night, Oct. 13, at the “Crown Jewel” Marching Band Competition held at Vero Beach High School.  Thanks to an outstanding performance in musical performance, the band earned the top award which has eluded them since 2002.  Following the prelims performance that afternoon, the JPT band took top honors for Best Musical Performance, Best Visual Performance, Best Auxiliary, Best Percussion, and Best Drum Major (Heather Loeffler) in their division.  After coming out on top following the prelims with Superior ratings in all captions, the Cirque du Soleil performance came on strong in the finals that evening, again earning all the top overall awards among the final 11 bands for Best Music Performance, Best Visual Performance, Best General Effect, Best Auxiliary, and Best Percussion.  This is the fifth Grand Championship for the JPT Band at the Vero Contest since their first at Vero in 1995.
